Description
Knitted tapes are more flexible and conformable than the equivalent size in a woven version. Produced of bulk texturized fiberglass yarns, traps greater amounts of air and demonstrates better insulation properties and greater fullness
Property:
► An alternative to asbestos based textiles
► Available with graphite treatment
► Available with a PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) to facilitate easy installation
► Used at 1000°F / 537°C continuous, If exposed to high temperature 600°F (315°C) to 1000°F (537°C) for an extended period of time the fabric may become stiff and brittle.
Applications:
Thermal insulation and heat protection pipes, flexible tubes, electrical cables, sealing joints of ovens and boiler doors, stoves, fireplaces and expansion joints.
