Description

This tape has a very high vermiculite content (10 to 12%).
Allows for collecting molten metal slag
An alternative to asbestos based textiles
Provides low thermal conductivity and good dielectric strength and features excellent corrosion resistance
Used at 2300°F / 1260°C continuously, molts above 3000°F / 1650℃

It will not burn, rot, mildew or deteriorate and resist most acids. It has low coefficient of thermal expansion. Common applications for this tape include thermal insulation and/or protection of wires, cables, hoses, pipe and tube, as well as affording energy savings and personnel protection.
